Where it falls short
- Watching isn't doing. Video explains Chinese; it doesn't give you hours of using Chinese. Without a practice layer, course completers can explain the 把 construction but freeze mid-sentence.
- The intermediate ceiling. Content ends around upper-intermediate conversation. The road from there is input volume, which video courses aren't built to supply.
- Reading is the light layer. Character courses exist and are decent, but the platform is conversation-first; you won't build a reading habit here.
- Production age varies. Some course material has been around a while. The teaching holds up; the look sometimes shows its years.
